Bowel Cancer, Guys: Can We Count On You To Raise Some Money?

Bowel Cancer Trek Up Ben Nevis. As you may know, it’s become a bit of a tradition for Automatic Retailing to do a fundraiser each year for a chosen charity. In other years, it’s been tough deciding which one to support; but this year, it’s been a bit of a no-brainer for the people at the UK”s leading vending wholesaler.

‘This year we looked no further than Bowel Cancer UK.’

Bowel Cancer
Hylton Nesbitt: let’s raise some real money in his name.

Lyndsey Boutflour gave PV the heads-up: ‘Unfortunately, one of our colleagues, Hylton Nesbitt, has been diagnosed with Bowel Cancer, so this year we looked no further than Bowel Cancer UK.’ (You can read Hylton’s inspiring story HERE on ARN’s blog site, ‘The Extra Mile‘).

ARN has invited – or should that be ‘challenged’? – everybody in UK vending to join them in a mission to climb Ben Nevis. ‘Yes, we’re inviting our customers and suppliers to join us, to help us donate some serious money’, Lyndsey said. ‘In the past, we’ve managed to raise a couple of thousand pounds but this year, with the assistance of our friends in the industry, we want to batter that total to help combat Bowel Cancer.’

Rachael Bramwell, Events Officer at Bowel Cancer UK , is already on board. ‘The Ben Nevis Trek sounds like a fantastic challenge, and I am happy to help you arrange it’, she told ARN. ‘The best option for you really depends on how many you think will be taking part, and your fundraising target. How many people do you think will take on the trek?’

Help in the fight…

And there’s the rub, so to speak. How do they answer those ‘how many?’ and ‘how much?’ questions? If you’re up for a fantastic week-end among some of the UK’s best scenery, alongside some of UK vending’s best, to make some money to help in the fight against Bowel Cancer, can you let Lyndsey know by 21 June at the latest?

Once you sign up, Bowel Cancer UK will provide some fundraising materials for you including

  •   A fundraising pack full of tips for smashing your target
  •   An exclusive technical fibre t-shirt to wear with pride for your challenge
  •   Access to our expert training zone where you can find training guides, trekking tips and advice.

So, can ARN count on your support? You never know when the Big C will strike, or who’s next in line…

Bowel CancerItinerary
