Burts Reggae Reggae

Ever important in the vending sector, Burts has not shied away from shelf stand out, with the bright iconic colours of the island emblazoned on each pack, demanding consumer attention. Key factors in increasing sales for operators are pack designs that grab attention and delicious flavours to satisfy the consumer. This is something we work extremely hard on here at Burts in order to drive purchase and ultimately improve our customer’s bottom line.

Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Groove Cut Crisps has sales of more than £400k, growing at +8% year-on-year. The total Levi Roots product portfolio is now worth more than £40m, spanning snacks, soft drinks, sauces and pre-prepared foods, while Burts is an award-winning, premium snacks brand that prides itself on its hand-cooked crisps, using British potatoes in small batches, without added MSG, artificial colours or flavours.

Burts Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Groove Cut Crisps offer the same premium, hand-cooked quality of other products in the Burts portfolio – made with British potatoes in small batches, without added MSG, artificial colours or flavours. Burts team of Master Fryers personally select a batch of potatoes, see them through the slicer, hand-cook them, and sign the bags off, stamping their name back of pack. This personal touch not only keeps authentic skills alive, but it ensures that somebody – not a machine – is responsible for each bag of crisps that leaves our warehouse.

Burts pride themselves on offering longer shelf lives, coming out of the factory with 26 weeks shelf life. The process for this involves the bags to be gas flushed and sealed removing most of the oxygen from the bag so no bacteria can survive. The bag seal tests are carried out hourly and we have carried out microbiological, chemical testing and organoleptic taste panels to determine the exact shelf life of each SKU ensuring every pack reaches our customers fresh and to the highest quality.
