Eat Real Extends Healthier Snacking Range For Vending Sector.

Healthier snacking brand Eat Real has extended its plant-based ‘free from’ vending range in response to the growing consumer demand for healthier grab & go options.

Three of Eat Real’s best-selling flavours in retail – Tomato & Basil Hummus Chips, Chilli & Lemon Lentil Chips and Sour Cream & Chive Quinoa Chips – are now available in 22g-25g vending packs. Free from all 14 declarable allergens and suitable for Vegan, Kosher and Halal diets, they contain significantly less fat than traditional potato crisps and weigh in at just under 120 kcals per pack.

“The fast-growing interest in health and well-being means that healthier eating is no longer a ‘nice to have’ option,” comments Debbie King, Director of Commercial Sales & Marketing at Eat Real. “Many of today’s consumers have health very firmly at the top of their agendas – they’re choosing to snack healthily at home and want to be able to enjoy the same options when they’re at work or out and about.”

The new packs extend Eat Real’s existing vending range of Sour Cream & Chive Hummus Chips, Sea Salt Lentil Chips, Sundried Tomato & Roasted Garlic Quinoa Chips and Veggie Straws, a potato-based snack which incorporates kale, spinach and tomato flavours. The Hummus and Lentil Chips contain 40% less fat than traditional potato crisps, the Veggie Straws, 30% less. Almost half of Eat Real’s entire vending range also now contains no added sugar.

“Being free from all 14 declarable allergens, our snacks are totally safe to dispense with no risk of cross-allergy contamination if they’re then eaten in the workplace or in public spaces – that’s good news for consumers and it means worry-free vending for operators,” adds King.
