In times like these, society relies on all of us stepping up to the plate and becoming Good Neighbours, keeping a watchful eye on those close to us who are more vulnerable than we are. Walsall based Coinadrink has done just that, by becoming Good Neighbours to its local hospital, Walsall Manor Hospital.
Walsall Manor Hospital is an acute general hospital that serves a population of around 270,000 across Walsall and surrounding areas. Walsall Manor is the town’s only provider of NHS acute care, serving inpatients and outpatients as well as a wide range of services in the community.
“Everyone knows how fantastic our National Health Service is, and every single staff member is showing an incredible amount of courage and dedication as they continue to battle this dreadful COVID-19 pandemic,” Alistair Ward told PV.
“Following on from Coinadrink’s recent donation of snacks, cold drinks and other refreshments to the Walsall Manor Hospital, we have now dropped off another package consisting of four Flavia Creation 400 coffee machines, along with enough ingredients and supplies to make 800 cups of coffee, 560 cups of tea and 290 hot chocolates. We’ve also partnered with Britvic, who have kindly donated four trays of Pepsi Max 500ml (24pk), two trays of Tango Orange 500ml (24pk), two trays of 7up (24pk) and two trays of Ballygowan Spring Water (24pk) that we’ve delivered to the Walsall Manor.
“It goes without saying that we will never be able to repay the sacrifices the NHS staff are currently making, by putting their own health at risk to protect our own, but we hope these donations and our desire to be Good Neighbours will convey just how we much we appreciate their hard work.
“We want to say a big thank you to The Best of Walsall for putting us in touch with the Well Wishers charity, who operate in the hospital. It is Well Wishers who we have proudly worked alongside to show our support for our wonderful NHS staff.”
