Planet Vending’s ‘Spotlight On’: Making A Song And Dance About UK Vending

Spotlight On: It’s The Brand-New Way To Sell Your Wares To The UK Vending Industry.

BY IAN REYNOLDS-YOUNG

Welcome to Planet Vending’s Spotlight On feature, which kicks-off today with a focus on Free-Standing Hot Drinks Vending Machines.

We can’t claim that it’s in any way comprehensive, as you’ll see. That’s because Spotlight On is not designed to provide an impartial overview of the marketplace. We’re not ‘Which?’ and we don’t want to be

We approached all the companies selling free-standing machines in the UK and we offered them a paid-for opportunity to pitch their ‘star’ machines into the maelstrom of activity that explodes every single time we publish a story on Planet Vending. The manufacturers represented are those that responded to the opportunity.

Here’s how it works: this e-mail gives you (and your peers in the business) a taster of the information that’s on offer. From each of these ‘trailers’, you can access a PV ‘home page’ for every featured machine. You might discover all you need to know right there, but there are other links for you to explore: we’ll lead you to detailed tech specs, to image galleries; to case histories (where available) and to contact details, if you want to pursue your interest.

But that’s not all: every single machine is individually featured on our very popular FaceBook page AND our Twitter feed. They’re there to be liked, shared, re-tweeted – you name it. You’ll need get your own Social Media team (even if that’s only friends and family!) into action on your behalf.

Search Engine Optimisation

And then there’s Search Engine Optimisation. Try this, and see how good we are. Set up a Google Alert for ‘UK Vending’ and see how many Planet Vending stories make it to your in-box. Out stories really are ‘out there’. Like, share, re-tweet.

It’s not just about posting stories online and hoping someone reads them. Any eejit can do that. On the contrary, it’s about making a song and dance out of every story. By so doing, we’re making a song and dance about UK vending.

So, our personal thanks goes out to N&W, Crane, Excalibur and Westomatic for putting their toes in the water with us. That shows a degree of trust in PV and we appreciate it. We hope that, when they see how hard (and smart) we work to put the ‘Great’ into British vending, their competitors will choose to be part of our next appropriate ‘Guide’.

Speaking of which:

Next Time,  Ancillary Services, such as disposables and other vital support products and services, will come under the PV spotlight. The deadline is May 26; so come on, all you manufacturers of vending cups, stirrers, paper napkins, asset finance companies, software, payment systems, telemetry businesses, and so on and so forth. Let’s get together and Get It Out There. We’ll work hard to give you a satisfying return on your investment. Contact us here, now!
