Vendex Review 23
A week or so after the famous Vendex North we are still coming down from the buzz, and catching up with the backlog that always happens when both Ian and I are out of the office for any length of time… not that we ever leave PV completely, it seems to follow us everywhere.
We put out a call for comments on the show and there seems to be a bit of a debate going on about the value of the show going into two days. We spoke to Phil Reynolds and due to the fact that most two day shows have a quiet second day and the increased costs might make it prohibitive for some he’s unlikely to be changing the duration any time soon. (Ed: someone suggested extending the hours to 18.00? Would it make a difference?… Tell us what you think.)
Meantime, here are some of this year’s quotes from some of Vending’s greats… Our thanks go to them and for those who support the Spotlight on Vendex, this helps get the show and its exhibitors registered and distributed digitally. Vendex Review 23
It was great for me personally to be back at Vendex and this time to attend with HELL Beverages. We engaged with current stockists, agreed some new partnerships and undoubtedly grew our network significantly. The feedback we had from the attendees was really encouraging, we’ve definitely got some new Slim Vanilla Latte ambassadors for sure! We’re looking forward to the next one!

“Vendex Leeds was a wonderful opportunity to engage with both new and loyal customers across the vending landscape. Offering opportunities to sample our range of fruity drinks to those yet to discover us, and listening to feedback on the new launches of the year. Following our sponsorship extension of The Carabao Cup, it was extra special to display the trophy again, a highlight in our marketing calendar. Altogether a successful day as we build momentum heading into 2024.”

Our participation at Vendex proved to be a success. The substantial interest in our HMI solutions and refurbishment kits was uplifting. Live demonstrations showcased the effortless usability of technology and the remarkable transformations achieved with our refurbishment kits. The positive feedback and inquiries we received have intensified our enthusiasm. Thank you Vendex and to all those who visited us – here’s to the future of vending innovation!

Vendex- excellent platform to launch a new innovative but commercially feasible solution. (See more on Planet Vending in the coming weeks!) We felt like we didn’t necessarily see everyone though. Maybe we can split over two days with an awards dinner in middle?
Vendex Review 23
Once again Vendex didn’t disappoint. It was busy all day and we were delighted about how well Opera and Soprano went down with visitors. The availability of tea, properly dispensed was very popular. Our new style stand which encouraged customers to drop in for a drink and a chat also went down well.

Coffeetek (taken from Linked In – thank you!)
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us at the show!
We’re deeply grateful for the response – We love talking to you because through these conversations, we can provide you with solutions to simplify your day-to-day challenges. We hope you had the chance to indulge in the diverse offerings our machines can provide – we trust your taste buds embarked on a delightful journey and serve as inspiration too. Whether it was the velvety texture of a fresh milk foamy cappuccino, a delightful cup of tea, the smoothness of a decaf oat milk flat white, or the rich taste of filter coffee.
A heartfelt shoutout to our amazing colleagues from #Coges and #Vendon for their support too! And the invaluable effort of Jenny Reynolds & Phil Reynolds that makes #Vendex No1 a success. We’re already counting down the days until the next one. Until next time! ✨

An excellent show, and a great opportunity to thank so many of our customers for a record breaking year in vending for Tower. It was welcoming too to see a large number of new customer opportunities also. You could really feel the positivity that comes from this really well attended exhibition.

We are thrilled to share that our experience as an exhibitor at Vendex North in Leeds surpassed our expectations. The response to our innovative product, Televend, was overwhelmingly positive, and the trade show provided us with a valuable platform to showcase its unique features and benefits. The engagement from attendees was exceptional. We are confident that the connections made and the interest generated will contribute significantly to the continued success of Televend in the UK. Vendex North was a resounding success for us, reaffirming the enthusiasm for our product and the potential it holds in the vending industry.

Wow!! What a fantastic day we have had exhibiting at Vendex Leeds… It’s been amazing as always to see all of our customers and of course showcase some exciting NPD, guess the potatoes and model our fabulous merch.
And yes that is me dressed as our Monster Munch Claw 💛

Excellent day and venue. Best coffee of the day (and I had plenty) was hand made for me by Andrew on the Evoca stand – it was superb
Most eye catching display was the Brewdog vending machine on the Canteloupe stand – gutted I couldn’t get it to dispense (must be clever age verification and my youthful looks 😜 )
New refreshment product of the day was the TENZING Natural Energy – an additive free pick me up that was just what I needed at the midway point (it did get rather warm inside the hall)
Smile of the day was, as always, Michelle Hefferon at Nivo
Highlight of the day – had to be lifting the Carabao Cup (much heavier than expected) having won the draw for cup final tickets – photo attached!
As ever, I am very grateful for the efforts made by exhibitors and I had some good conversations both with existing and potential suppliers.

Vendex North was a fantastic show with lots of new exciting products and brands present. The McVities gold millionaires wafer is absolutely outstanding, it’s also good to see the buzz around Prime Hydration is still there, and we always get to see some new products and suppliers.

We were very pleased to catch up with old friends in Leeds, as well as make so many new contacts. It was an intense day throughout (we liked that). And we were especially pleased with the response to the features we were promoting, including:
Automated Fleet Routing (the best routing anywhere)
Fridge Lock (connecting refrigerated units to extend the sales window and trigger interventions)
The Latest Release of Vendmanager (Version 23.3 – with exciting new functionality)
The ever more popular Nova Micromarket Kiosk (fully featured and exceptional value)
John Forde and Cole Little – Nayax
Vendex was highly successful, drawing operators nationwide. Connecting with both existing and new clients was a pleasure. Lewis Zimbler highlighted the continuous activity at our stand, offering ample opportunities to discuss our cashless payment solutions for unattended retail, management reporting suite, and the Monyx loyalty app in engaging conversations.
